1. Added Agenda Item (Discussion of UITC Redesign Planning)

2. Discuss and offer alternatives for faculty/staff webs and research webs

3. Discuss changes needed on COS website

Agenda Item 1

 Discussed the proposed University site restructuring.

a) Concerns about URL changes - pyramid style (to long?)

b) Web Overseers - essentially the same as we proposed in our committee

c) Content Management - Microsoft, RedDot, Omni Update

1) Will any allow for custom html, asp, etc. (Big concern)

Ask Gary Anderson, committee member of UITC, to take our concerns to them and get responses to our queries.

Agenda Item 2

Discussed what options UCC told our committee 'NO'

a) No subwebs

b) No FP extensions on MUPFC/USERS

c) No administration rights on COS web directory

Discussed more alternatives

a) FP web extensions for only Faculty/Staff or just COS Faculty/Staff

1) Could brings needed FP webs down from 43,000 to approximately 85

b) Host websites in house (COSITC)

1) Additional equipment needed if we are to host (A real backup solution)

2) Would need additional personnel or a lessening of responsibilities for one staff member

a) Lighter colors, simpler, changes to navigation?,
