MEETING MINUTES


Wednesday Feb. 13, 2002 (9:00am)

  1. Discuss UITC Proposals and how it will effect COS

  2. Concerns for UITC

  3. Preliminary architecture changes/changes needed on COS website

Agenda Item 1

a) Reorganization of content – not just administration, every college/program

b) Content management

            1) Supposedly, will not enforce everyone to use content manager (Us)

            2) Can we use custom html, asp if follow closely to their theme?

            3) Say they will not break anything that already exist

            4) Instructional Technologist will be responsible for all web(s) content

                        a. Create directories for departments

                        b. This creates a much larger workload on the College IT

 

- MUPFC/Users – having trouble with webs on it, UCC can’t say if/when FP extensions will be put on. (Should we host this? Have resources? Disclaimer if so?)

- Personal course information should be put on personal WebPages, users and all course material should be moved to WebCT.

 

 Agenda Item 2

1) Make a specific list of concerns for Gary Anderson to take to UITC committee by March 1st

            - What are the consequences of their decisions?

2) Website architecture should be constructed and implemented using a tentative template
